We've been supporting local charities since we opened our first restaurant in 2000, and have raised thousands of pounds in the process. Our annual Ladies' Day at Ascot event, which is held at our Chorlton restaurant, has raised £22,000 for The Red Cross since 2005.
In 2010 we're supporting the North West Air Ambulance, which flies life-saving missions throughout the North West. Flying every day of the year it covers 5,500 square miles with a population of seven million, and uses medically equipped helicopters and specially trained paramedics to attend to people with life threatneing injuries or illnesses.
Astonishingly it receives no government funding, so is reliant on the generosity of the general public to raise the £4 million a year it needs to carry out its live saving work.
As of September 2011 we will now be supporting our friends at Forever Manchester with 50p from the sale of every seasonal pizza going to the charity
