The thing that sets Croma aside from the other 'posh' Italians in the city centre is that there are none of the pretensions you get at other places. The staff are attentive without being overbearing, while the menu isn't afraid to paint itself as traditional - albeit with a little bit of Lancashire thrown in. 4/5 Food 4/5 service 4/5 value for money 4/5 atmosphere 5/5 Vegetarian Thursday July 7th 2011

Airy, modern and slick. Croma serves great salads, pasta, pizza with some innovative twists. Chicken Caesar or Peking duck pizza anyone? Think: a better, brighter pizza express.

Croma is spick and span and open plan with truly excellent pizzas and wonderful warm service. It's the best Pizzeria in the city.

And so on to my pizza... Oh it was bloody marvellous. The base was thin with perfectly crisp and slightly puffed edges. Packed with toppings, the roast vegetables were sweet and juicy, the goat's cheese was soft and full of flavour... all in all it was taste and texture sensation.

Best Restaurant. Pizzas are the mainstay, but this ain't no Pizza Hut. Dishes feature excellent ingredients and it's all very skilfully prepared... the staff are efficient and smiley, with seemingly nothing being too much trouble...
